Okay, you are thinking about getting a car, but you want to make sure that it fits your eco-sensibilities. it really is no secret that eco friendly cars are now becoming affordable alternatives for most of the American public. Only a couple of years ago the best hybrids on the market were commanding prices of 35-45K. No matter how much some people wanted to keep their auto purchases on the green side this high price tag was creating more than a little concern. In addition to the higher cost, the availability of certain models was almost non-existent.

The streamlined, head turning Prius by Toyota is still a little hard to find, but the good news is that the price tag is just over 20K. This means that more people are able to give some serious consideration to going the “green route” and purchasing this hybrid vehicle. After all the savings are going to continue for Prius owners because the estimated gas mileage is about 50 mpg.

Go Green with your Auto Choices

If the price tag for Toyota’s ultimate hybrid vehicle is still a bit high then General Motors has an option for eco-conscientious consumers. The Chevy Cobalt XFE gets an amazing 37-42 mpg if you choose a model with manual transmission. While the interior may not be ultra luxurious you still get some goodies such as AC and power windows. This Chevrolet coupe has even received thumbs up reviews by both critics and consumers, and it is rated as a top auto choice for “green” drivers.
