According to the German car maker company, Mercedes-Benz, their newest hydrogen powered car is ready for launch, and leases will begin by early next year. The car is front-wheel driven and has a 100 kW electric motor with an impressive output of 214 lb-ft of torque, the designers claim the performance is comparable to a 2.0 liter gas-powered vehicle but featuring a fabulous 86.6 mpg on the European combined cycle.
Range is expected to be around 250 miles and M-B claims a hydrogen refuel will take just three minutes. More information is expected to be released during the coming Frankfurt Autoshow.
